RE: Food Services – Free Meals Available

Beginning Tuesday, March 17th, our Food Services Program will be opening up a “Grab-and-Go” service for students in order to offer free breakfast and lunch to all families. This program is being offered for children, eighteen years of age and under, by providing meals that would typically be provided during the school day. Families will be allowed to pick up meals for their own children on a daily basis.

There will be four locations for this “Grab-and-Go” food program. Parents may pick up meals at ANY one of the four locations including:

  •   Eddy Elementary School – Brewster (2298 Main Street – drive around to the back parking lot and pick up will be behind the school)
  •   Orleans Elementary School – Orleans (46 Eldredge Park Way – at the front of the school)
  •   Eastham Elementary School – Eastham (200 Schoolhouse Rd. – enter the back parking lot whereparent drop-off occurs)
  •   Wellfleet Elementary School – Wellfleet (100 Lawrence Rd. – drive into the first parking lot entranceand pick-up will be by the cafeteria door)The “Grab-and-Go” meals will be available for pick-up from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily, Monday through Friday. When you drive up to the site, please remain in your vehicle and tell the food service worker how many children you have. Once the meals have been “delivered” to you, we ask that you exit the line promptly so as to minimize social contact and to allow others to avail themselves of this service. These meals are free and all food will be a “bagged breakfast” and a “bagged lunch” and will be allergy-aware. The meals provided will be compliant with the USDA School Lunch Guidelines. If there are other organizations who wish to provide food for families including dinners or food to help out adult members of each family, we will work to coordinate the same pick up locations and times with those organizations. Additional details to follow.
