FIRST Steps Together

Take your FIRST Steps Together with CCCP – FIRST Steps Together program brings new services to Cape Cod Children’s Place

Cape Cod Children’s Place is excited to bring new programming to strengthen and support local families. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s FIRST (Families In Recovery SupporT) Steps Together is a new home visiting program in the Bureau of Family Health and Nutrition’s Division of Pregnancy, Infancy, and Early Childhood. Funding for this project is provided through SAMHSA’s State Opioid Response grant to Massachusetts, administered through the Bureau of Substance Addictions Services. Cape Cod Children’s Place has been selected to provide program services to families on Cape Cod and the Islands. These services will include specialized home visiting and community-based recovery and parenting support for families affected by substance use. These individual, dyadic group recovery and parenting supports will primarily be provided by peer recovery staff in our community. Direct program services are anticipated to begin in January.
