Children’s Cove, a department of Barnstable County, provides coordinated and comprehensive multidisciplinary services to child victims of sexual abuse, serious physical abuse, witness to domestic violence, sexual exploitation and human trafficking. It is a freestanding, child-friendly facility in the mid-Cape area designed to ensure that victims of child sexual abuse and their non-offending family members have access to support and services in a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment. As an investigative agency, Children’s Cove provides a compassionate, efficient, child-friendly facility for child abuse intervention. Children and families journey through a streamlined process, which reduces the chances that the children are re-traumatized and preserves the best evidence for investigators. Our staff facilitate an under-one-roof collaboration of social and legal agencies to protect, treat and counsel child abuse victims and their families, and to investigate and prosecute the abusers.

These messages are checked regularly throughout the day by staff members. Information for parents, caregivers, kids and teens are available on our website at www.ChildrensCove.org
During times of stress and isolation, instances of abuse can increase. Additionally, individuals who have undisclosed trauma may be further challenged by their trauma experience with a reduction of their natural supports.
