Director of Development
SUPERVISOR: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
POSTION SUMMARY
The Director of Development leads and manages all fundraising efforts for Cape Cod Children’s Place. Through comprehensive development and marketing efforts the Director strengthens the organization’s financial stability and expands its impact by cultivating relationships with individual donors, foundations, and community partners. The Director works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and staff to align fundraising strategies with the organization’s mission and values, driving sustained growth and ensuring vital services reach Cape children and families.
SENIOR TEAM RESPONSBILITIES
As a member of the Senior team the Director will:
· Support and lead agency direction setting, monitoring, and gathering input from colleagues and participants.
· Represent the organization in meetings and or events with partner agencies, funders, community members, and others as needed.
· Develop and support agency culture.
· Promote and lead efforts to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in all activities.
· Center the needs of children and families in org-wide decisions and any intended or unintended impact on the programs.
· Participate and facilitate the onboarding process and the training of agency-wide practices and frameworks.
· Participate and contribute to fundraising efforts and events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and execute Cape Cod Children’s Place annual fundraising plan
· Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
· Manage the utilization of donor software and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
· Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
· Oversee organization of special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization
· Develop and implement effective donor communications and marketing materials with staff and consultants (as needed)
· Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate effectiveness
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant skills and knowledge gained through other means such as practical experience, self-study, or non-traditional learning paths are welcome.
· Minimum five years of fundraising, non-profit or other applicable experience
· Previous management experience
· Fundraising or sales database experience
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
· Experience with online and social media communications
· Experience with online fundraising and marketing, and prospect research
· Communication and marketing experience
· Proven track record of meeting measurable goals
· Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
· Experience leading events
· Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members, and other volunteers.

POSITION DETAILS
This is a 40-hour position, Monday – Friday including occasional attendance at evening and weekend events. This position is based in Eastham with flexibility for some remote hours after three months of employment.
Substitute Teachers, Infant/Toddler/Preschool
CCCP is currently seeking substitute teachers for our Early Learning Center.
A teaching certification from EEC is a plus, but not required.
Candidates will need to submit to a criminal background check, to adhere to all Massachusetts Mandatory Safety in the Workplace Guidelines, and the Minimum Health & Safety Requirements set forth by the Department of Early Education & Care (EEC).
