Cape Cod Children’s Place has been awarded a $590,000 Family Resilience Grant from the Mosaic Opioid Recovery Partnership, funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services, and powered by the RIZE Massachusetts Foundation (RIZE).  Cape Cod Children’s Place FIRST Steps together program has been working with families with young children impacted by substance use disorder since 2019.

This funding opportunity will allow Cape Cod Children’s Place and our partners, Sharing Kindness, AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, and Corn Sister Circle, to support all Cape families—created by choice, chance, or circumstance — in building a community of hope and healing from the opioid crisis. We will expand access to services that foster recovery, resilience, and stability to improve the well-being of all family members affected.

“Working together with our partners we will be able to incorporate the needs of all family members, to address the devastating effects of substance use disorder, with hopes they will be able to be a source of support and healing for their family,” said Erin Sullivan, Executive Director of Cape Cod Children’s Place.

Mosaic is a unique public-private partnership designed to fund community-led initiatives that address the opioid overdose crisis in historically underserved communities. Guided by individuals with lived and living experience, Mosaic supports organizations across Massachusetts that work to reduce overdose deaths and strengthen family and community resilience.
